The Youth Technology Club is a Mastermind group where students learn advanced software engineering concepts and practices and network with like minded people! Each meeting consists of 30 minutes of instructional time where students are exposed to relevant topics such as: how to manage source code using Git, paired programming, agile software development tools and concepts, the Linux Operating System, creating shells scripts, Cloud Technologies, Software Design Patterns etc. The remainder of each meeting is Project Time where students work on projects, either individually or in collaborating with other students, while receiving direction and help from our instructors.
This club is designed for intermediate to advanced students who want to dramatically accelerate their learning curve and development as a future software engineer. There is no specific age requirement for the Technology Club.
The Technology Club does not have a specific curriculum. Instead, emphasis is placed on teaching areas that are most relevant to the members of the club based on their current level of development, their areas of interest and relevancy to the industry.
